In the midst of the deep South American Jungle, internationally renowned percussionist Alejandro Vega decided to unpack his Congas and secretly record rhythms that rattled the Amazon. With the lack of electricity & facilities it’s hard to be sure how exactly this came to fruition. The taped recordings were later discovered by esteemed music producer Spike Leo as he tracked through the jungle.

These rare recordings included 95 raw sounds that had remarkably been warped & manipulated through various analogue equipment, tape machines & echos - including extravagant plugins from the furthest corners of the earth. To this day, no one knows just why or how they came about. All we know is that the South American natives have been protecting these mysterious sacred recordings for centuries and preserving what they call… La Conga.
